Why do you think these books and TV shows are popular?

Nowadays in many states of the world, people are accustomed to enjoying more and more TV crime dramas and novels based on criminal activities. I believe that this trend is getting popularity on account of many reasons. To delve deeper, an elaboration is essential.
To begin with, dramas and novels based on various types of crimes generally contain more thrills and adventures than other types. Many adventure lovers always like to be entertained with such innovations. For example, young students, specially the teenagers, tend to watch lots of dramas related to actions and horrors. It is hardly possible to please them with something more classic. So, the film makers are producing these kinds of drama serials to a greater extent. Moreover, crime novels and dramas always have a twist which makes a person be engaged till the end of them. Furthermore, to increase the viewers or readers, producers and writers sometimes utilize the advantages of having crime scene in the plot of the story. This helps to retain their conservative reputations. All these are very common reasons why these books and TV shows are much sought after events.
Crime fiction and TV crime dramas can be a source of entertainment to some extent as long as they remain limited to a certain stage, I think. But producers and writers are now busy with making money rather than entertaining people. As a result, the dramas, they telecast, containing extreme violence instigate people to be engaged with illegal activities which often lead our society towards a vulnerable situation. So, I believe that it is high time the authority censored the reckless production of novels and dramas.
In sum, it can be said that nothing in the world is beyond criticism. Such dramas and novels also have both pros and cons. As downsides are more, we must try to keep them in a limit so that people can enjoy and utilize these in their pragmatic circumstances.
